Harry Styles is back!! What all the fans have been hoping and waiting for is finally here. A new single, a new album and a whole new tour to go along with it!
Within the past week Harry Styles has officially released new music after his 4 year break since the release of Harry’s House in 2022 and the end of his record breaking Love on Tour in July 2023. Since then, the anticipation has quickly turned into full blown excitement.
Many people had been wondering when Mr Styles would make a comeback and thus when cryptic messages started popping up on billboards with the phrase We Belong Together, the Harry fans knew immediately that something was on the way.
Shortly after, he announced the drop of his new single Aperture and his new album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. which is set to be released on March 6th. Many fans were speculating over the genre of the new album. Will it be something similar to his past music with a mix of pop and rock or will it be something new in the sense of Techno and House.
He gave many interviews to Radio Stations around the UK on the release of Aperture. In one with Capital FM he said that his inspiration for Aperture came from spending time in Berlin and discovering new genres and kinds of music. He said that he has loved working with new genres and believes that this Album will allow him to do a lot more on stage and be really immersed with the music.
Aperture has a very electronic and pop vibe to it that makes you want to play it on repeat and just want to run straight to the dance floor. Lyrically Aperture focuses on letting go, openness and the feeling of freedom and we are excited for more! Many fans have compared it to his hit song Lights Up from his 3rd Album Fine Line. It also has a similar feeling to his song Golden, another great song that has a freeing feeling and makes you want to dance immediately. While Aperture sounds different on the surface, the emotionalness feels unmistakably Harry.
His evolution throughout the years has been a defining part of his solo career. His debut album ‘Harry Styles’ released in 2017 leaned heavily into classic rock influences with a mix of lyrical and emotional songs. While his album Fine Line released in 2019 expanded his sound with brighter pop elements and more emotional vulnerability. Then with his album ‘Harry’s house’ he marked a shift towards a more sleek and intimate pop genre which earned him major awards.
The release of his upcoming album appears to be the next natural step for him all the while not abandoning his past music but building on it. By embracing electronic and more dance focused sounds within his music he seems to be ready to challenge himself while keeping his very own signature.
Alongside the new music, his new Tour, Together,Together will begin in May and will cover across 50 stops around the globe including, Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, New York, Melbourne, and end in December in Sydney Australia.
